Kriek Mariage Parfait 2015 is a one-year-old Lambic with the addition of approximately 400g of overripe cherries per litre. Subsequently re-fermented in oak casks and with an alcohol content of 8%, Kriek Mariage Parfait will be an instant hit with Kriek lovers. During tasting, this Belgian beer presents a deep red colour with a delicate head. Its nose reveals the full complexity of this beer.
The flavours of red fruits, especially red cherries and Morello cherries, mingle with notes of vanilla and clove, offering the taster a good overall impression of its taste spectrum. In the mouth, the most striking feature is the generosity of this Kriek. An incredible acidity remains dominant throughout the tasting.
According to the Boon brewery, after being kept for 20 years this Kriek would easily surpass some vintage wines.
