Gueuze Mariage Parfait is a gueuze-type beer at 8% ABV. Brewed by the famous Boon brewery, it takes its name from the very special blending techniques used in its production. In fact, it consists of 95% three-year-old Lambic and 5% young Lambic. After blending it is kept for 6 months before finally going on sale to the public.
During tasting, this gueuze displays a very beautiful blond colour with a white head that does not last long. Its nose is superb, revealing apple, certainly, and also delicate notes of citrus and wild yeasts. In the mouth it is dominated by pleasant acidity with beautiful flavours of vanilla and clove.
According to the brewers, you can work out the date it was bottled by subtracting 20 years from the best-before date. So here we have a beer that will improve over time, just like its cousin Kriek Mariage Parfait.
