Suruga Bay IIPA from Baird is one glorious Imperial IPA. It is brewed using a variety of grains including Maris Otter and Rye, and is hopped extensively (and dry-hopped twice) with a secret blend of hops to give it a punching 90 IBUs and amazing hop character. The result is a slightly sweet and very bitter double IPA with tantalizing tropical fruit and citrus hop characteristics. Suruga Bay IIPA hides its 8.5% ABV by artfully balancing the strength with it's body, sweetness and bitterness. While this beer should keep for a year or more, we highly recommend drinking it the night it arrives!
